USA Cycling Hosted Fourth Inclusion Conversation Virtually On December 2, 2021

(COLORADO SPRINGS, CO) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – USA Cycling will host the fourth installment of the virtual Inclusion Conversation Series on Thursday, December 2, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. MDT. This month’s conversation is actually a training, entitled Implicit Bias Training, and will be facilitated by Ashland Johnson from The Inclusion Playbook and Shannon Jolly, DEI consultant for universities, colleges, and sports organizations across the country.

This is the fourth conversation in the ongoing monthly Inclusion Conversation series hosted by USA Cycling. Previous sessions were held in September, October, and November with attendants from the cycling industry, riders, and sport governing bodies. All sessions are being recorded and posted online for free public access.

“While this is the final installment in 2021 of our Inclusion Conversation series, we are just beginning making our sport more accessible and enjoyable to all,” said USA Cycling President and CEO, Rob DeMartini. “As we explore the trappings of implicit bias through this training, we should leave this realizing, like all worthy, ambitious goals, the work will never be finished, only improved.”

Registration for the December conversation is available here. To watch past Inclusion Conversations, click here.

The virtual conversation series and eventual in-person event is brought to you with generous financial and product support from PeopleForBikes, Canyon, Allied Cycle Works, Trek, SRAM, Zwift, Vittoria, Goodr, Hyperice, Experience Fayetteville and Strava. The raffle to win a Canyon Endurace CF SL Disc 8.0 D12 is closed and successfully raised $15,000. Those proceeds will be used to offset the costs of the speaker series and eventual in-person events.
