October 21, 2021 – MarathonPhotos.Live isn’t wasting any time in conquering the world. On the same day the world-leading endurance photo company launched its ground-breaking service in Canada, teams were also photographing events live in the UK and Europe.

With the traditional Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon shortened this year to a 10k, runners had their photos online within seconds of passing photographers – both on course and at the finish.

Runners could also sign up personal supporters who received a notification when their first photo was online and could then follow their progress to the finish.

“It’s amazing technology wrapped up in a very compact unit,” said MarathonPhotos.Live Canada managing partner Steve Tomlinson.

One special feature at this event was that all photos were free to download.

“Not only could supporters follow their runners while they were still on the course but they could also download souvenir photos to their devices, for free,” Steve said.

Innovation is key to the company’s success, said MarathonPhotos.Live founder and Managing Director Francis Kay.

“We were proud to launch our live service this year but we didn’t stop there.  Having the ability to offer photos Live andfree provides a great opportunity for organisers and sponsors,” he said.

“We believe runners deserve good photos.  When they are good and immediate, it creates a great experience for everyone.”
